Technical Assignments

Technical Report No. 1: Structural Concepts & Existing Conditions Report

This Report studies the Science Center Research Park's structural existing conditions. It includes calculations of wind, seismic, and gravity design loads in accordance with current codes. Comparisons with calculated loads and design loads were done.

Technical Report No. 2: Alternative Floor Framing Systems

This Report includes an examination of 3 alternative floor systems that can be used in the Science Center Research Park building. These systems were designed and compared to the existing floor system for feasibility, based on system depth, weight, fire-proofing, constructability, and cost.

Technical Report No. 3: Lateral System Analysis

This Report includes an examination of the existing lateral system in the Science Center Research Park building. Included is a study of torsion, overturning, and strength checks. The analysis was done by hand calculations and an ETABS model.
